As with the other Academy programs, the education program offers students the opportunity to focus broadly on the social sciences (as they are relevant to particular educational settings or issues) or to specialize functionally (by level of education or on a particular discipline or inter-disciplinary field of knowledge).

Students in the Education program prepare the initial core Knowledge Area Modules, followed by advanced Kod’s that are specific to the Education curricula. The advanced Kod’s in Education are broadly conceptualized, allowing students the opportunity to  tailor the Kod contents to their own setting and their own background. Common themes include: the impact of technology, the global scope of knowledge, the challenge of cultural diversity, and new contributions to learning theory.
